DESIGN.md is a structured markdown file that defines your project's brand spec — tokens (colors, typography, spacing, radius), voice, narrative, principles, personas, states, and motion. AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cursor) read it as authoritative context before generating any UI, so the output looks like your brand instead of generic 'modern minimalist' slop.

How does oh-my-design work?

Run `npx oh-my-design-cli install-skills` once in your project. It installs 15 skills (core flow + live-capture + asset + the v0.2 agent layer: orchestrator, kr-writer, locale-adapter, designer-review, final-qa, codex-image), 16 sub-agents (master orchestrator + 15 specialists), 4 hooks, and 100+ reference DESIGN.md files. After restarting your AI coding agent, you just talk in natural language — skills route to the right sub-agents automatically.

Does it call any AI provider during install?

No. The install is a pure markdown copy — zero API calls, zero data leaves your machine. Your AI coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, or Cursor) is the inference layer; install just teaches it where to look.

Which AI coding agents are supported?

Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and Cursor (via .cursor/rules). The skill markdown files are agent-agnostic; hooks ship for Claude Code specifically.

What is the design harness?

The omd-harness skill runs a 10-phase design pipeline (Discovery → Research → IA → Wireframes → Design system → Components → Asset sourcing → Microcopy → Validation → Handoff). It dispatches sub-agents in parallel where independent, asks 3 mandatory user checkpoints, and emits a v0/Cursor-ready package. Trigger it by saying things like 'design the entire onboarding from scratch' or '/omd-harness '.

Yes — MIT licensed, open source, no signup, no API key, no paid tier. The references in the bundle belong to their respective companies and are reproduced for educational reference only.

oh-my-design v1.5.0 (2026-05-19)

v0.2 agent layer ships in the bundle. Blog feature removed. Release-hygiene routine added.

A supervisor + specialist topology for multi-step authoring, all channel-aware (Claude Code / Codex / OpenCode):

omd-orchestrator — supervisor. 5-stage workflow (write → review → revise → localize → critic → images → handoff), hard 2-round revision cap. Anthropic orchestrator-workers + LangGraph supervisor pattern.
omd-kr-writer — Korean prose with 12 voice presets (toss-tech-design default / karrot-neighborly / brunch-maker / naver-d2 / biz-report / academic / journalism / …). 9-field voice spec per preset in data/research/2026-05-18-kr-style-presets.md. Anti translation-ese.
omd-locale-adapter — KR → EN/JP/ZH-TW adaptation (cultural reference swaps, JP honorific matching, ZH-TW traditional idioms). KR is the source of truth.
omd-designer-review — visual + brand audit vs DESIGN.md (typo hierarchy, color budget, radius scale, component states, mobile). Severity BLOCK / WARN / FYI with line refs. Read-only advisory.
omd-final-qa — read-only critic, 8-item publish rubric, forbids "looks good" rubber-stamps, hard 2-round cap.
omd-codex-image — channel-aware image materialization. One  spec, three downstream paths: Codex native generation / omd-asset-curator free-license fallback (Claude Code) / OpenCode user-queue. Idempotent, IP-safe (no logo/face synthesis).

Added — release hygiene

omd-release-hygiene skill + scripts/check-release-hygiene.sh + husky pre-commit gate. Blocks experiment byproducts (v1/v2 .bak, _source-*, contact sheets, logs, scratch dirs) from entering a commit. Codifies the docs-sync + npm-packaging checklist for new skills.

Removed

/blog route and the blog feature (was dev-only behind NODE_ENV). Routes, components, @/lib/blog*, and the blog views/likes KV endpoints removed. omd-kr-writer is kept — KR voice synthesis is useful beyond the blog.
kr-spellcheck — a deterministic Korean-orthography linter was prototyped and dropped. A 25-pattern regex heuristic had too low recall (~50–67%) to be worth shipping. If you need automated KR spellcheck, wire an external service such as the 부산대 한국어 맞춤법 검사기. (omd-final-qa dropped its rubric item 9 accordingly.)

install-skills TUI — interactive multiselect order is now skill → sub-agent → channel. Agent channels default to none-selected (you pick); "detected" hints read real .claude//.codex//.opencode/ presence instead of the all-3 fallback. Added enter = 확인 hints.
experiments/ is now gitignored (local scratch, like .promo/ and .experiments/).
